Anti corrosion technology for offshore wind power development.

2022-01-19source:changxingbrowse: second
In today's increasingly tense energy, wind power generation is more and more favored by people because of its high efficiency and cleanliness. With the deployment of offshore wind power planning and construction by relevant national departments, the curtain of China's offshore wind power development has officially opened.

Offshore wind electrodes are vulnerable to corrosion

After more than 10 years of development, the world's offshore wind power technology is becoming more and more mature and has entered the stage of large-scale development. China is still in its infancy and has great room for development.  On the one hand, China is rich in near sea wind resources. Data show that China's offshore wind energy resources with a water depth of 10 meters are about 100 million KW, offshore wind energy resources with a water depth of 20 meters are about 300 million KW, and offshore wind energy resources with a water depth of 30 meters are about 490 million KW. On the other hand, the eastern coastal areas are economically developed and energy is in short supply. The development of rich offshore wind energy resources will effectively improve the energy supply. Therefore, the development of offshore wind power has become an important part of China's energy strategy.

However, in fact, China still lacks experience in offshore wind power construction. The measurement and evaluation of offshore wind energy resources and the localization of offshore wind turbines have just started, and the technical specification system for offshore wind power construction also needs to be established. The lack of relevant standards for offshore wind power anti-corrosion technology is a serious problem.

Due to the high salt content in the sea, the corrosion to the equipment is quite serious. Unlike offshore drilling platforms, wind turbines can be repaired at any time when they are corroded. Due to their special geographical environment and technical requirements, the maintenance cost of offshore wind turbines is very high.

Shi Lishan, deputy director of the renewable energy department of the national energy administration, believes that the biggest problem faced by offshore wind turbines is corrosion resistance, He said: "compared with onshore wind power, offshore wind power has more complex operating environment, higher technical requirements and more difficult construction. For wind turbines, the biggest problems are corrosion resistance, salt fog resistance and offshore power transmission and distribution. These technical difficulties can only be solved in practice."

Qu Zheng, deputy director of Qingdao Marine Corrosion Research Institute of General Iron and Steel Research Institute, believes that the environment of offshore wind turbine is bad. The environment above and below the sea surface is different, and the anti-corrosion technology is also different. Therefore, offshore wind power is prone to corrosion, and the anti-corrosion technology is complex. He explained to the reporter of China Energy News: "the lower supporting platform of offshore wind turbine is a reinforced concrete structure, and the anti-corrosion work focuses on the protection of reinforcement corrosion; the parts above the sea surface are mainly corroded by salt fog, marine atmosphere and spray splash. Therefore, the anti-corrosion of offshore wind turbine is relatively complex and needs to be carried out in parts and targeted."

Integration of anti-corrosion technology needs to be kept up

The R & D cycle of anti-corrosion technology is not too long. From the perspective of single anti-corrosion technology, China's R & D level is basically synchronized with the international level. What China lacks at present is the integration of technology, that is, how to integrate various anti-corrosion technologies into one equipment. "

It is understood that at present, there are no relevant standards or regulations for the anti-corrosion of offshore wind turbines in China. Qu Zheng said: "corrosion prevention of offshore wind turbine is a systematic problem. For each part of the unit, corrosion prevention should be considered in terms of design, material and tightness."

He believes that at present, the development of domestic offshore wind power has just started, so there are deficiencies in all aspects of the development of anti-corrosion technology. "Foreign countries have unified standards and regulations on all aspects of anti-corrosion technology. This system is relatively complete abroad, but it is still lacking in China," he said Taking automobile manufacturing as an example, he vividly explained the integration of anti-corrosion technology. He said that in foreign countries, if we want to design cars, considering that they will be sold inland or by the sea in the future, their steel plates and coatings will be designed differently accordingly. The source of different designs is the experimental data of steel plate corrosion in different environments. According to the experimental data, automobile manufacturers will eventually choose an economical and corrosion-resistant design. This is a good reference for the anti-corrosion development of offshore wind turbines in China, because China has a vast territory and different climates in the north and south, so the required anti-corrosion technologies are also different.

When talking about the development of China's offshore wind power technology, Shi Lishan once said: "it is still too early to find some norms on how the government should manage and ensure safety only through practice summary."

Qu Zheng also believes that it is too early to require the introduction of national standards for corrosion prevention of offshore wind power. He said: "the formulation of general standards must go through several stages of trial, problem discovery and problem solving, and finally form relatively mature things and standards for your reference. We are still in the early stage."
